How to make Nimbu Pani - Step By Step

Recipe by Priyanka Verma 

Course: Drinks          /        Servings: 3-4          Prep Time: 5-10 mins

Directions:

  • Squeeze the lemons: Roll the lemons on a flat surface to soften them. Cut them in half and squeeze out the juice using a citrus juicer or by hand, making sure to remove any seeds.
  • Prepare the sweetener: In a big bowl, pour the water and add the (powdered) sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preferences. If desired, add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor and tanginess.
  • Mix the lemon juice: Pour the freshly squeezed lemon juice into the big bowl with the sweetened water, also add some rosted cumin seed powder, dried mint powder for extra tanginess then add some ice cubes into it. Stir well to combine the lemon juice and sweetened water.
  • Chill and serve: After adding the ice cubes, This will allow the flavors to meld together. Before serving, pour the Nimbu Pani over ice in individual glasses.
  • Optional variations: Nimbu Pani can be customized according to your taste preferences. You can add roasted cumin powder or a pinch of black salt to enhance the flavor. You can also garnish the drink with  fresh mint leaves crushed in mortar or pestle for an added refreshing touch.
