Directions :
- First, take a bowl and add one teaspoon of chia seeds, also known as sabja seeds, to it. Soak them in water to let them bloom. It takes about 10-15 min. These seeds are mostly used in faluda or Sharbat and have a cooling effect. It’s totally optional, but it’s a great addition to this “Mohabbat ka Sharbat”.
- Secondly, we will need a large utensil like a pot or a pan.
- Thirdly, we need to take some milk. Here, I am using half litre of toned milk. You can also use full cream milk . It’s totally up to you.
- Next, we need to pour the milk into the utensil and add some ice cubes to it. This will help to keep our Sharbat cold and refreshing when we drink it.
- Next, we need to add 3 tbsp of sugar and mix it well, it’s totally up to you to add more or less sugar according to your taste buds.
- Next, we need to add 3-4 tablespoons of rose syrup to the milk. You can add more or less depending on how sweet you want your Sharbat to be. Add accordingly to your taste preference.
- Next (optional ) Rose syrup itself gives a nice pink color to the drink, if you still wish to enhance the color of the drink, then you can add 2-3 drops of liquid red food color and mix it well to get the attractive pinkish color to the drink.
- After that we need to add chia seeds (sabja seeds) to this drink.
- Lastly, we will add a large bowl of chopped watermelon to it, which we had already cut into small pieces and kept aside and mix it well.
Now, our chilled and refreshing mohabbat ka sharbat is ready to be served.
